Small original hand coloured etchings which have come out of a mid-victorian publication titled "Handley Cross or, Mr. Jorrock's Hunt": a book of satire and comedy written by Robert Smith Surtees, illustrated by John Leech (1817-1864) and published in London in 1854. It gives us a refreshing glimpse of mid-Victorian society. The prints have been professionnally framed by The Robert Simpson Company Limited of Toronto that is going to have a prominent place in the Canadian retail market. They seem to be in their original antique wood frame. They are from an unknown edition: smaller paper and somewhat muted colours.
The etchings have not been examined outside the frame. The price is for one only.
