Cute little porcelain restaurant or hotel ware creamer or pitcher with gold stripe in excellent condition.
Vitreous china for hotels and restaurants was revolutionary at the time. It was durable, had chip-resistant body and chip-resistant round edge shape.
Syracuse China was a major suppliers of heavy-weight commercial restaurant and hotel ware to railroads, steamships, hotels, and cafeterias. During 1959, the company established a Canadian china manufacturing subsidiary called the Vandesca Pottery Ltd. in Joliette, Quebec. It was the only pottery in Canada to manufacture vitreous china.
This small individual creamer is backstamped with the Syracuse China Canada mark as shown and date coded to 1959-1974. It is particularly simple and elegant.
Dimensions: Individual creamer/pitcher is 2 7/8 inches tall
Condition: Perfect condition including the gold band.
