Vintage Haig scotch whisky water pitcher made by Carlton Ware in England. Very collectible porcelain piece from the 1950s.
SUPERB CONDITION AND BEAUTIFUL RED COLOUR FOR THIS SO CONVENIENT WATER HAIG PITCHER/JUG
Carlton Ware is a manufacturer of wide-ranging, high quality output. From the 1930s onwards John Haig & Sons, distillers, became big customers using ware to advertise their whisky in pubs and hotels with specially modelled ashtrays and water jugs.
Impressed mark on the base of jug is bearely readable but seems to be 2379 (2819?) which would indicate that the item was manufactured between 1955 and 1958. A highly collectible period and a very sought after piece of whisky advertising. A nice piece to add to a collection. Bright red, cream white interior, black rim. ELEGANT SQUARE STREAMLINED LOOK.
Dimensions: Approx. 7 1/8" high, 4 1/2" from spout to back.
Condition: Perfect condition without chips, cracks or crazing. Bright red finish. See photos. The small clear spot on handle is due to photo
