Pyrex Terra vintage casserole lidded dish with original wood and metal cradle.
Casserole is no. 474-B 1 ½ Qt. and is marked on the bottom: Pyrex 18 Made in USA Ovenware.
The Terra pattern was only produced for about one year in 1965 due to its high production costs. It has light brown or terracotta stripes over a dark brown matte finish. These earth colours are gorgeous and the design is very attractive for a modern environment as well as for a mid-century décor. It shows the influence of Scandinavian design. This pattern was only available on limited baking and dinnerware items. It is rare to find it with the original gilded metal cradle with walnut handles. This piece looks fantastic and is hard to find in such a good shape
Dimensions:
Casserole approx. 9" across and approx. 3 5/8" high and cradle approx. 11” long X 7 7/8” across.
État/Condition:
This casserole dish is in very good vintage condition with only a few scuffs near the bottom of the bowl.
