Pair of vintage Seagull pewter wall sconces from Nova Scotia.
This exquisite pair of fine pewter wall candle holders have a very elaborate and sophisticated design featuring scrolls and flowers. A hole on each end of the wall plaque allows them to be securely screwed on the wall (screws supplied).
These Seagull pewter products were designed and handcrafted in the tiny fishing village of Pugwash in Nova Scotia, Canada. This pair of wall candle holders is marked Copyright 1997 Seagull Canada Pewter Etain Zinn. Fine pewter is an alloy of tin and a precious metal. It can be highly polished to look like silver or buffed to a satin finish like here. Seagull fine pewter products exceed the standard of 92% pure tin. Pewter does not tarnish. As pewter ages it takes on a soft, even patina which is very pleasing to the eye.

Dimensions:
5 ¾ inchs long and 2 1/2 inches wide; 4 5/8 inches from back of wall plaque to tip of candle holder.

Very good condition. Tiny bruises on one side of each candle arm that can be easily polished.
