Rare Canadian blanket woven by hand using the overshot technique with central seam. It features a rustic white cotton warp and an indigo blue jersey weft in a geometrical pattern. It is entirely handmade probably at the beginning of the 20th century, reversible and washable since it is not made of wool. In Canada, regions marked by English-Scottish influences produced such weavings with highly colored repetitive geometric patterns. This one has a very pretty and well executed two-tone pattern. This is a beautiful heirloom collectible perfect for a country decor. It is soft and flexible.
