Set of vintage glass cruets for mass celebration with stoppers with or without brass tray.

Pair of vintage blow-molded mass cruets with original stopper shown on a rectangular tray that may be bought separately. Mass cruets are small containers with a narrow neck and pouring spout intended to contain wine and water for the sacrifice (Eucharist) of the mass. Traditionally, the body of the cruets had to be made of crystal, glass or some other transparent substance, so that the celebrant could easily distinguish between wine and water. Today liturgical cruets are also made it in other materials, a color mark can designate the one that contains the wine. THE PRICE IS FOR THE CRUET SET ONLY.

The brass tray makes an interesting addition to this pair of liturgical flasks, but it is not original to the set and is therefore sold separately. For details, see B844.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No breakage (like new).
