CONDITION OF OUR PRODUCTS

All our products are antique or vintage, and therefore generally previously used or worn.  We strive to purchase and present only items in good to near-mint condition, but most pieces will show some degree of wear.

We generally leave our pieces in as-found condition for our clients who prefer the unique patina that aging gives to antique and vintage items and that give them so much charm.  If our visual inspection reveals any sign of touch-up on a product, we will generally mention it in our description.  If you have any questions at all about a particular piece’s condition, you are encouraged to contact us before making a purchase, and we’ll get back to you quickly with additional information and/or photographs.

MERCHANDISE DESCRIPTION

We do our best to accurately represent condition, age and artist based on our best knowledge and judgment. We research every work of art or object that we offer for sale in order to describe it accurately and completely.  We attempt to make mention of anything of note in our listings and show any defect in our photos to allow you to buy in confidence. However, we are by no means art or antique experts, and omissions or errors may occur.

If you have any questions at all about a particular piece, you are encouraged to contact us before making a purchase, and we’ll get back to you quickly with additional information and/or photographs.  We welcome your comments and questions that will help us improve our services.

PAYMENT

All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars. It is possible to convert Canadian dollars in another currency in selecting it in the drop-down list on the top left hand side of our Home Page.

We accept PayPal (PayPal balance or personal credit card), cheques, postal orders and Gift Cards as well as CODs (extra fees to be paid by the buyer) through the checkout.  Our automatized payment methods offer total security (SSL Certificate). To arrange for other payment methods, please contact us.

PLEASE NOTE that for cheques and postal orders the payment is considered accepted only when funds are cleared in the bank or post office. This will delay processing and sending the order.

Layaway available with deposit or payment by installments, please enquire.

Local Pick-Up: You will not find our store in any commercial mall or intense shopping area. We are online only.  Nevertheless, we are happy to provide our local customers with local pick-up option. This service is offered at no cost. Please call us in advance to make an appointment.

TAXES

Within Canada – Canadian customers will be charged 5% GST and provincial taxes where applicable.  Quebec customers will be charged 5% GST and 9,975% PST (except on books: 5% GST only).

REBATES AND DISCOUNT COUPONS

You want good prices?  You have come to the right place! We keep our prices pretty much as low as we can all the time, so you don’t have to worry about coupons.  However, from time to time, we will be glad to offer discount coupons to our registered customers and inform them of events of interest. You may also visit our online store or our Facebook page regularly to keep informed of our latest finds or learn about any special sale or event.

VOUCHERS (GIFT CERTIFICATES)

You want a gift card? Nothing is easier. Click on the Gift Voucher link under ‘Shopping’ in the blue section at the bottom of any page, fill in the info, choose the dollar value and place your order.  We will send an email gift certificate to the recipient and a copy to you. Gift certificates are not refundable but they don't expire and can be used at all times.

When you click on ‘checkout’ in the shopping cart you are directed to a page where to fill in gift voucher codes, discount coupons codes or any other code if appropriate. If it doesn't work please contact us. On this same page, you can get an estimate of shipping fees and applicable taxes.

SHIPPING

Packages are sent by the shipping services selected and at the rates calculated at check-out.  We don’t’ make you pay for handling and packaging, except for items (large framed paintings or works of art for example) requiring special packaging. The buyer selecting the COD option will have to pay the applicable fees for that option, that is 7.25$ + taxes. Other arrangements may be made if different or speedier delivery is desired. We have special prices with Purolator, Canpar, FedEx, UPS, etc.  Please contact us for a quote. All shipping in Canada includes tracking and insurance.  

Most of the time shipping is made through Canada Post Services and we ship to all provinces and territories in Canada, to the United States and to many European countries.  For all countries, shipping costs are automatically calculated by our shopping cart. We try to keep shipping fees as low as possible and we make our customers benefit from any rebate that we may negotiate.  We are constantly on the look up for the most efficient and affordable shipping service possible.

Shipping to the United-States: Small PacketTM option (Air only - 5 to 8 business days delivery) is only available for parcels 2 kg or less and comes without tracking and liability coverage. To benefit from the tracking and liability coverage features you must choose the more expensive Tracked PacketTM option (4 to 7 business days delivery) also available for 2 kg or less parcels. For parcels more than 2 kg available options such as Expedited ParcelTM come with tracking and liability coverage.

Shipping to Europe: Small PacketTM option (Air - 6 to 12 business days delivery/Land – 4 to 12 weeks delivery) is only available for parcels 2 kg or less and comes without tracking and liability coverage. To benefit from the tracking and liability coverage features you must choose the more expensive Tracked PacketTM option (6 to 10 business days delivery) also available for 2 kg or less parcels.  For parcels more than 2 kg, International ParcelTM  comes with liabality coverage up to $ 100 but no trackingand XpresspostTM comes with tracking and liability coverage. Canada Post services are reliable, but expensive for parcels more than 2 kg.  Feel free to ask for a shipping quote and we will inform you of the best available rate. DHL may offer competitive shipping fees by air for heavy parcels.

Taxes and duties: Orders shipped outside of Canada may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees. The recipient of an international shipment is responsible for all taxes, custom duties or any other fees that may arise on orders shipped to his country.

Combining shipping: We are happy to make you save by combining shipping on multiple purchases.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide the correct shipping address.

Delay before shipping: Unless you specified at the time of purchase that you want Express delivery, shipping will be made within 1 to 3 working days.

Local Pick-Up: We are happy to provide local pick-up. Please contact us quickly after purchase and payment to make arrangements for pick-up.

RETURNS

Merchandise received damaged: Please keep the items in their original package, take a picture and contact us as quickly as possible. We will reimburse the damaged items. If a replacement is possible, the shipping fees will be at the charge of the receiver unless the replacements are combined and shipped with a new order. In such a case the receiver will have to pay for the shipping of the newly bought items only.

Returns: To ensure your satisfaction and protection SELECT BAZAAR ACCEPTS RETURNS WITHIN 5 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF PACKAGE.  Returned items must be in their original package and as described on the invoice.

Please email or phone us within five days of receipt to inform us that you wish to return the merchandise, specifying the product and/or invoice number.  Merchandise returned as per our Return Policy will be reimbursed quickly. Shipping and return costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless it is accepted by both parties that the item did not correspond to the description.

We do not accept returns on sale items and we do no exchange.

Changes to policy

SELECT BAZAR reserves the right to change our Terms and Conditions policy whenever necessary by posting the new policy on its site. Please visit our page to ensure that you have read the most recent version.

Legislation

Select Bazaar online boutique is operated from Boisbriand in the Montreal region. By using the Select Bazaar online boutique site the user agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction, and recognizes the exclusive competence of the courts of the Province of Quebec with respect to any legal proceedings related to using the Select Bazaar online boutique site or in connection with the interpretation or application of its Terms & Conditions, and agrees not to commence any such action or proceeding except in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
