Vintage full body hand embroidered maid or hostess apron from the 1940s WW2 era.

Superb 1940s hand embroidered cotton apron with pattern showing planes as well as a man and a woman in Canadian Royal Aviation uniform surrounded by embroidered flowers. It very much reflects the period where the war was intensifying and the aviation was in need of recruits. Rare representation of a woman in uniform of WW2.

The apron is made of cotton. Ties are made of polyester/cotton, and are a later addition. Border adorned with lace and a pink satin ribbon.  Cute embroidered pocket.

A real Canadian heirloom and Canadian history artefact.
