Antique giant wheel throwned hand painted clay teapot with green floral decor on a white background. This very large rustic primitive teapot has a very interesting outline with its round belly and bent spout. Glazed surface is shiny. The interior clay walls show that it has been wheel thrown. A rough hole inside allows the tea to flow out. The teapot is tight and pours very well. It is quite old, probably from the 1800's.
Dimensions: 21 cm (8 1/4") tall with lid; 28 cm (11") between handle and spout; top opening 8 cm (3 1/8") and pedestal 9,5 cm (3 3/4") across. Contains a maximum of 2 L (approx. 67 fl. oz).
Condition: Very good condition for its age. One chip underside lid hardly visible from outside. A small unglazed patch inside near top. Some surface crazing. Three small hairlines on pedestal. Please look carefully at the pictures.
Smoke-free environment. Shipping fees always combined on multiple purchase.
