Vintage former USSR Gzhel cobalt blue and white porcelain mouse figurine dressed in nightcap and dressing gown. It is very finely painted in the style of the Gzhel items. It dates around the 80's and is signed by the artist under the Gzhel Ussr stamp but it is hardly legible. Please refer to the pictures.

Gzhel porcelain is handmade in Russia, in Moscow region. It bears the name of village located 50 km from Moscow, on the shores of the Gzhelka river. Since early 19th century, this village has been manufacturing this type of porcelain. The cobalt blue motifs on a white background are famous in Russia and beyond. The little statues are all hand made and painted.

Dimensions: Hauteur 9,5 cm ( 3 3/4" tall) et diamètre à la base 5,5 cm (2 1/4" across base).
