Beautiful sculptural mouth blown studio glass vase made by Canadian master glass artist Jean-Marie Giguère in the second half of the 20th century.
It is a quasi monochrome earth tones glass sculpture with cut rough shape and textural finish (frosted texture outside with smooth finish inside).In this art piece, master glass maker Giguère used multiple glass art techniques such as blowing, pinching, cutting and sandblasting. Signed and dated 1989. Very modern contemporary look. The piece is unique.
A spectacular collectible display piece of early Giguère studio Espace Verre art glass.
Jean-Marie Giguère came to the glass art through working with stained glass. He enrolled in the vocational programme at Espace Verre in 1989 where he has worked with many established glass artists. He has received countless distinctions and participated in group exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions in Québec and abroad.
Dimensions: Approx. 26,5 cm (10 1/2") tall overall and 20 cm (8") wide at top.
État/Condition: Excellent vintage condition. A close inspection led to the conclusion the vase is in perfect as made condition.
