Large pottery decorative wall plate featuring a group of children signed by Quebec ceramist artist Hubert du Roscoat.
Born in France, ceramist Roscoat was active in art pottery in Quebec, Canada for many years. This charger is very typical of his production with its rural house, its rough textured incised surface and transparent glaze finish. He designed numerous similar chargers depicting old houses looking like the ones we can find in some places in Quebec or in Brittany, in France, where Roscoat was born. Modern style child scene. Made around 1980.
