Schumann Arzberg Germany serving cake set with fruit motif
Complete 1950's Bavaria marked Schumann Artzberg Germany cake set comprising a large serving platter and six smaller cake plates. Each plat has a different pattern. The larger serving cake plate has peaches and currants motif. The plate carrying the Birks label underside has the orange and blueberries motif.
Traditionally used in Germany as cake sets for Sunday afternoon cake and coffee. This high quality porcelain set was sold at Birks, a high-end jewelry and gift store in Montreal, Canada as shown on the label underside. Beautiful gold rim. Very elegant set.
Measurements: Large 12" serving platter and 6 smaller approx. 7.5" plates. The set is complete.
Condition: Excellent condition. Looks like new. Small loss of gold on edge of large plate.
