Vintage HB Quimper piece in Henriot pattern for wall display or as a trinket or small serving dish. It has a yellow band and a deeper yellow bow at one end, and nicely scalloped edge. Very special shape, probably custom made for a particular client, and intended for export. Otherwise, the plate features the classical Britton woman with floral design typical of the Henriot pattern. Holes at the back to hang it on the wall. Colors are vibrant.

Dish is marked Henriot Quimper Handpainted in France for JAS.A.OE12VY’s and 539. This type of mark seems to  indicate a piece that was made for a specific reseller with a design that was not in the regular catalog. Both the HB pottery and the Henriot pottery did so for stores throughout France as well as for international retailers.

All Henriot Quimper pieces are hand crafted and handpainted. This elaborate manufacturing results in faience products that stand out in terms of quality and refinement.
